Bill is the President of RHSE Inc, a privately held consulting firm helping clients effectively manage their environmental and safety responsibilities. He is partnered with other environmental firms including Millenium Science and Engineering (US and Europe), Redstone Associates, WES-TECH LLC, CMID Engineering and others. RHSE also works in collaboration with Phoenix Images Inc. Purdue University was the setting for Bill’s bachelors and masters work in environmental engineering. After a year with an environmental consulting firm in the mid 1970s Bill worked for Eli Lilly and Company for 28+ years, retiring in 2005. Twenty six of those years were spent in management positions in Europe and the US in areas of production, engineering, quality control, productivity improvement, and finally, Corporate HSE (health , safety and environmental) as the senior corporate HSE leader.

During the years 2004 and 2005 Bill served as the Chairman of the PhRMA (Pharmaceutical Research Firms of America) HSE Leadership Committee which set the Trade Association HSE policy positions.
